REU opportunity at Washington-St. Louis

Feb. 8, 2012 by Chris Rasmussen

Washington University in St. Louis is now accepting applications for its Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) 2012 Summer Program.  The REU program is an 11-week summer program that gives undergraduates a taste of research with the hope that they will pursue graduate studies in computer science. The program has a wide variety of exciting projects suitable for a large range of students. It also includes several additional opportunities including (a) 4-Day Boot Camp, giving students the computing skills needed for their specific research projects (2) “Meet the Faculty” Lunch Series (3) Research Skills Seminar, to help prepare students to apply to and succeed in graduate school and (4) a Research Symposium, to present their work to faculty and peers at the end of the summer.

The program is open to all US citizens and residents who have a strong background in computer science. We encourage all students with an interest in computer science (majors, minors, educated hobbyists) to apply.

The application deadline for the program is February 24, 2012. More information and application materials can be found at:  http://reu.cse.wustl.edu
